Poetry Anthology

The Forest

We walk down the pathway
Hand in hand
Past trickling streams

And into the unknown

The scent of pines engulf us
While the gentle swaying of branches
Welcome us into
This parallel universe

Like children free of worries
We laugh and play
Running as fast as the wind
Down the pathway

The sunset is a painter
That paints its blue canvas
With bright shades of orange
And red

The hoot of an owl
And the gentle shiver of wind
Signals the end of day
And the start of a new beginning

Pacific Park

The forest is calm
Its branches sway gently in the wind
Silently calling out your name

Tiny animals scurrying in the undergrowth
Bustling around in the unknown
Like ants in a colony

The air is crisp and fresh
A perfect slice of toast on a Monday morning
The wind is like a blanket
Gently caressing your face
And cleaning your mind of any worries

The forest is mysterious
Signs of life all around
Crickets chirping
And bees traveling from flower
To flower

Tree buds finally open
Giving birth to new life
It opens up its chest
To reveal a glittering gem inside
Signaling the start of a new season

 Spring

Cherry blossoms bloom
Birds sing and fly in the air
Lilies paint the pond

Ode to Teddy

O Teddy,
How your eyes shine bright
Like tiny little stars
On a Midsummers night

O Teddy,
How your ears fly
Like a waving flag
When you run outside

O Teddy,
How your little tail wags
Like a leaf in the wind
Swaying side to side

O Teddy,
How wonderful it would be
If I could only tell you
How much you mean to me

Cat and Mouse

There once was a cat and a mouse
The mouse ran right into the house
The cat could hear the tapping of feet
And wanted something to eat
So got up but slipped on the blouse

Snowflakes

Spiraling down
Neverending
Over the hilltops
Way up high
Falling
Leaving no trace
At all
Kids laughing and playing in the snow
Everywhere there are
Snowflakes

Coffee

So much depends
upon
A rich cup
of coffee
Garnished with whipped
cream
And topped with
sprinkles

Winter Frost

Frost covers the ground
Like a sparkling white diamond
Before disappearing without a sound

The Ocean

The cold wind   blowing on my face
Pulling the waves towards me
Before letting them go
Swaying the fir tress  side to  side

The ocean waves travel in a steady pace
Revealing more life   hidden to see
Before returning and letting them go
Back to their home   away from the tide

Seed

A seed is planted
And it slowly grows into
A majestic tree

Poetry

Poetry is art
Dancing words   on a blank page
Flowing like a river
Leading to an   imaginary world

It is a key
That opens  untold truths
And tells a tale  that has
Never been told before

Poetry signifies   an importance in the world
It is a   teacher
That teaches us much more
Than we have ever known before

you        because they   contain lots of vitamins and minerals that are
essential for daily health no wonder people say an apple a day keeps the
doctor away now I have no more to say so I will keep on repeating the
